Bridgestone, founded in 1931 in Japan, is now a household name when it comes to getting people from A to B. And rightly so. The company makes tyres for nearly everything that moves on wheels and is recognised by motorists everywhere. Bridgestone bought American tyre producer Firestone Tyre & Rubber Company in 1988, making them one of the biggest tyre companies in the world.
