The self-regenerating tyre sipe are revealed as the tyre wears to improve traction and performance. The centre zigzag grooves create a binding effect o each tread block contributing to the better rolling resistance and traction. The Hankook Smart Flex DL51 tyre has a Horn-shaped, self-regenerating sipe to reduce shoulder stress and prevent cracking whilst also enhancing water evacuation to deliver improved wet performance.
